Ed Jason joined Whittlesey in 1976 and was named partner in 1984. He served as the firm’s managing partner from 1996 to 2008. Ed’s practice concentration is providing accounting and assurance services to nonprofit organizations and closely-held businesses. He is a licensed Certified Public Accountant with the State of Connecticut.

Ed is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA). Ed received a Bachelor of Arts degree from the College of the Holy Cross in Worcester, Massachusetts, and holds a graduate certificate of professional accounting from Northeastern University. He is a former University of Hartford adjunct faculty member and is a noted lecturer on financial and tax issues.

As an active volunteer, Ed serves numerous nonprofit organizations including the Finance Council for the Roman Catholic Archdiocese of Hartford and Mercy Community Health. He also previously served as the treasurer of Capital Community College Foundation. Ed has received several awards for nonprofit service, including conferee of Papal Knighting to the Order of St. Gregory the Great.
