New HHS Funding and Extension of PRF Reporting

On September 10, 2021, the Department of Health and Human Services (HHS), through the Health Resources and Services Administration (HRSA), announced they will be releasing $25.5 billion of new funding for health care providers affected by the COVID-19 pandemic. The application portal will open on September 29, 2021.

Like earlier rounds of funding, payments will be based on the providers' lost revenues and expenditures between July 1, 2020, and March 31, 2021.

Also, in light of natural disasters and the Delta variant, the HHS announced a 60-day grace period to the September 30, 2021 PRF Reporting Deadline of the first reporting period. However, the deadline to use the funds and the reporting time period will not change. If you have yet to register for the reporting portal we encourage you to do so now.
