Be On the Lookout for “Annual Report” Mailings

In Connecticut, businesses have received official-looking mailers from an unauthorized entity seeking fees to assist businesses with filing annual reports with the state. The Connecticut Attorney General, Secretary of State, and Department of Consumer Protection cautioned businesses to avoid paying unnecessary fees with their report filings. Please see the attached notice for contact information should you receive one of these mailings.

Connecticut businesses can continue to file reports online directly with the Connecticut Secretary of State without incurring third party fees. Annual report filing begins on January 1, 2021.

Please note that LLC, LLP, and LPs filing fees have increased by $20 this year. The updated filing fees for annual reports can be found here.
