Whittlesey's CEO Drew Andrews Named to Hartford Business Journal's 2024 Power 50 List

We are proud to announce that our Managing Partner and CEO, Drew Andrews, has been named to the Hartford Business Journal's 2024 "Power 50" list. This prestigious recognition highlights influential leaders from the private and public sectors, nonprofit organizations, higher education, real estate, and healthcare across Connecticut who are pivotal within their organizations and significantly impact the broader business community. This accolade is a testament to Andrews' leadership and his substantial contributions to Whittlesey and the city of Hartford.

Drew has been a major proponent of Hartford's growth and a well-respected figure in the business community, particularly after moving the firm downtown in 2013. His strategic vision has significantly expanded Whittlesey’s influence through mergers and acquisitions, positioning the firm as a regional leader in accounting and financial consulting services.

Amid the challenges of the pandemic, Andrews led Whittlesey's pivot towards remote work, which not only sustained the firm through uncertain times but also enabled it to expand its talent pool beyond geographical constraints.

The acquisition of Bova, Harrington & Associates in December 2021 marks the latest milestone in Whittlesey's expansion strategy, further enhancing its capabilities and reach. Andrews has also addressed the challenge of talent acquisition head-on by appointing Whittlesey's first full-time recruiter, underscoring his commitment to building a skilled and dynamic team to support the firm's growth ambitions.

Andrews' anticipation of AI's significant impact on the accounting industry reflects his commitment to innovation and technological advancement, ensuring Whittlesey remains at the industry's forefront. His leadership is not only recognized through awards like the Power 50 list but also in his active role in philanthropy and community service, demonstrating his dedication to making a positive impact beyond the business sphere.

A graduate of Bryant University and a member of both the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants, Andrews' influence extends across the professional and community realms. His vision for leveraging technology to enhance efficiency and client value propels Whittlesey towards a future marked by innovation, growth, and community engagement.
