Credit unions serve our communities and we want to be part of helping these important financial institutions grow and thrive. Yet, many credit unions are facing increased competition, consolidation, and complex regulations all while consumer expectations are dramatically shifting.

We have served credit unions across the Northeast for over two decades, so we understand these business challenges. Our team of Credit Union advisors are dedicated to this industry and can offer the insights and actionable strategies today’s leaders need to achieve their goals. Our clients see us as an extension of their leadership team because we proactively discuss and plan for regulatory reform and provide strategic advice. As highly skilled CPAs, who have built our careers focused on the credit union industry, we offer a unique combination of earned experience and superior client service.

How We Can Help

We offer financial statement opinion audits, including an informational management letter and peer benchmarking analysis, pension audits as well as supervising committee audits.
Our business advisory services include examinations, account verifications, reconciliation assistance, control reviews, allowance for loan loss reviews, and validations. We also offer supervisory committee training, business plan development, forensic investigations, and merger and consolidation reviews.
We offer business income tax preparation for state chartered credit unions.
Our technology team provides IT related services to credit unions. We offer a number of IT security services including IT general controls and IT risk assessments. IT general control reviews focus on general IT controls based on regulatory guidance and industry-leading practices. Controls include but are not limited to administration of user access, change controls over business systems and backups and recovery to assure reliability, integrity and availability of data. IT risk assessments focus on threats and vulnerabilities to customer information and compliance with Gramm-Leach Bliley Act (GLBA). We also perform FFIEC/NCUA compliance analysis, cybersecurity assessments, social engineering testing as well as SOC 1 and SOC 2 audits.

Over our 20 year relationship with Whittlesey, we have trusted their sound business advice on our strategic initiatives. They understand the industry and always put the best interest of our credit union first.
