Whittlesey Announces Promotions of Naomi Aina, Matthew Burry, and Ashley Yanik to Manager

Whittlesey, a leading public accounting firm, is proud to announce the promotions of Naomi Aina, Matthew Burry, and Ashley Yanik to Assurance Manager. These individuals bring a wealth of experience, knowledge, and commitment to providing exceptional service to their clients.

Naomi Aina has more than 20 years of experience in public accounting, with a practice concentration in nonprofits. She joined Whittlesey in 2014 after working at Lester Halpern & Company, P.C., for 14 years. Aina is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Massachusetts Society of Certified Public Accountants (MSCPA). She earned her Bachelor of Science in Accounting from American International College and a Master of Science in Accounting from Western New England College.

Matthew Burry has been with Whittlesey for over 4 years, specializing in providing assurance and advisory services for nonprofit, real estate, retail, and manufacturing clients. He holds a Bachelor of Fine Arts from the University of Hartford, Hartt School of Music, and a Master of Science in Business Administration from the University of Connecticut. Matthew also completed an Advanced Business Certificate in Accounting Analytics from the University of Connecticut and an Accounting Certificate from the University of Hartford. Matthew is a member of the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA) and the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA).

Ashley Yanik joined Whittlesey in 2018, bringing over 5 years of experience in public accounting. Yanik works with closely-held businesses, real estate entities, and nonprofit organizations. She holds a Bachelor of Science in Accounting and a Master of Science in Accounting from the University of Connecticut. Yanik is a member of the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA) and the Connecticut Society of Certified Public Accountants (CTCPA).
